Located in the plains lying to the north of Modena, the Sozzigalli estate is located on the left bank of the Secchia river. The soils, which are rich in clay and silt due to the deposits left by  hundreds of years of flooding, combined with the humid but windy climate guaranteed by the nearby river, create the ideal conditions for growing the Sorbara grape at its best. The grapes harvested in this 30-hectare vineyard, where the original Sorbara clones have been meticulously preserved, play a crucial role in our best known wines, starting from the Fondatore and Premium, through to our latest endeavour, the QuintoPasso Metodo Classico.
